Gordon R. Whiteley, Sr., 65, of Pine Plains, NY formerly a long time resident of Amenia, NY died on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY. Mr. Whiteley worked at Taconic DDSO for 28 years retiring in 2005.

Born on April 29, 1950 in Sharon, CT he was the son of the late Lloyd Whiteley, Sr. and Jean (Rhodes) Whiteley. On October 30, 1971 in Wassaic, NY he married Anna Whitehead who survives at home. Mr. Whiteley was an avid NASCAR fan.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Whiteley is survived by a daughter, Melissa Hood and her husband, Paul, of Amenia, NY; a son, Gordon R. Whiteley, Jr. and his wife, Alisha, of Wassaic, NY and four grandchildren, Haley and Hayden Whiteley, Zachary Hood and Hope Shepard. Besides his parents, Mr. Whiteley was predeceased by a brother, Lloyd Whiteley, Jr. and a grandson, Hunter Hood.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Graveside services and burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the Clove Valley Cemetery, Clove Road, Lagrangeville, NY. with Rev. Zora Ficarra-Cheatham officiating.
