Mary E. Smith, 72, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Vassar Brother’s Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mrs. Smith was a sales agent at Alamo Radiator King in Dover Plains, NY.

Born on May 1, 1943 in New York City she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Demetra (Papoutsidakis) Vassil. On April 20, 1989 in Dover Plains, NY she married Donald L. Smith who survives at home. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Tall Ho Association.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by a son, George Sanders of Wassaic, NY and two brothers, Philip Vassil of Jersey City, NJ and George Vassil of Shirley, NY. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Brittany Sanders of Millerton, NY.
