Marilyn J. Marcello-Penney
Marilyn J. Marcello-Penney, 69, a resident of Dover Plains, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon CT. Mrs. Marcello-Penney was an account executive in the Margin Department at Bache & Company in New York, NY (The second largest brokerage firm in the world at the time). Marilyn also worked for Lynn’s Hallmark store in Fishkill and the Kids Store in Briarcliff Manor, NY retiring in 1994.
Born on May 1, 1946 in Bronx, NY she was the daughter of the late Michael James and Rose (Reidmuller) Marcello. Marilyn was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School. On January 27, 2001 in Millbrook, NY she married her soulmate and Knight in Shining Armor, Loren Penney, Sr. who survives at home. Marilyn was a foster parent for many children; took care of her ailing parents and raised two daughters of her own.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Fowx and Dana Vara and her husband, Edward Fuller and two step-children Laurel Lounsbury and her husband Rich, and Loren Penney, Jr; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Siena and Mason Fowx, Tiffany and Amanda Fuller, and Ryan and Alexa Lounsbury and a great-granddaughter, Kylie Eubanks. She is also survived by her sisters/BFF’s Marie Picone and her husband, Vinny, and Barbara Gentile and her husband, Fiore (Sam) and her brother, Michael Marcello and his wife.
Calling Hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22 Dover Plains NY. Funeral Services will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery in Fishkill, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association, 30A Salmon Kill Road, Salisbury, CT 06068.
