The guy we all referred to as "Andy", was known by every aspiring soccer player within a fifty mile radius of Amenia. We all knew he was an absolute disciple of the game. Andy was always teaching,inspiring and helping all neighborhood youth to understand the game of soccer. He was an absolute guru of good clean soccer. I played in a league with Andy and many others competing locally until my sprains and twists took to much out of me at age forty eight. Andy continued on playing not only outdoor soccer but indoor soccer always inspiring new young players to enjoy the game. His generous legacy will always be missed by all his students of the game. His generosity to teach the sport was a true gift to many young people.
