Cassandra Frieda Perri, 27, was called home to God on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Born on August 24, 1986, she was the prized daughter of Beth and Todd Winch of Dover Plains, NY and her father, Dominick Perri of Dover Plains, NY.
Cassandra had a passion for music and her son. She adored each breath her child took and was an amazing aunt to her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed long car rides with her sisters singing to country music, Rock n Roll, and oldies. The film, Free Willy, inspired Cassie’s lifelong dream to “save the whales and dolphins.” Cassandra will be missed by all that knew her.
On October 29, 2007, Cassandra and her boyfriend, Charles Gerard Hatcher II, welcomed their beautiful son, Charles Gerard Hatcher III into their world. In addition to her parents and son, Cassandra is also survived by her loving siblings who admired her: Thomas, Mark, Brandi, Gina, Christina, Christine, Nicole and Rachel. Cassandra also leaves behind six nieces and nephews: Serina, Olivia, Natalia, Cordero, Madison, and Jayce. Besides her immediate family, she is survived by her loving grandmother, Theresa Mallen, her grandfather, Armando Perri, her aunts, Lorraine, Suzanne, Sandra, Dawn, Karen, Roseanne, and Linda, her uncles, Burt, Mark, Chris, Tommy, Kenny, Johnny, and George, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her extended family, Chris, Joanne, and Airman Christopher DeMaio.
Cassandra was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Gloria Perri, who cherished the ground that she walked on. She is also predeceased by her lifelong friend, Sgt. Daniel DeMaio.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 83 Mill St., Dover Plains, NY. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY. Donations in memory of Cassandra may be made to Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, 100 Woods Rd., Valhalla, NY 10595.
