Obituary for Judy A. Vleming

Judy A. Vleming, 73, of Ancramdale, NY, formerly of Pine Plains, NY, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Mrs. Vleming was a transportation supervisor at Pine Plains Central School district for 10 years retiring in 2013.

Born on July 29, 1947 in Armonk, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Marjorie (Bell) Alger. On April 8, 1992 in Dover Plains, NY she married Thomas Vleming who survives at home.

Mrs. Vleming was a member of the American Legion Post #178 Auxiliary in Murrells Inlet, SC. She was also a member of the VFW Post#5444 Auxiliary in Amenia, NY.

Mrs. Vleming is survived by four daughters, Tammy Nethercott and her husband, Paul, of Amenia, NY, Deborah Bartimoccia and her companion, Donald Wallace, of Hoosick Falls, NY, Denise Carpenito and her companion, John Cristofano of Litchfield, CT and Jody Fischl and her husband, Wayne, of Lagrange, NY. She is also survived by a brother, Raymond Alger of Dunedin, FL; two sisters, Holly Alger-Vinchiarello of Dover Plains, NY and Barbara Alger of Norman Beach, FL; twelve grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vleming was predeceased by a brother, Jack Alger and a nephew, Adam Wolfe Hylan.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 7 p.m. with Rev. R.
