Obituary for Richard C. Trombacco
Richard C. Trombacco, 86, a seven-year resident of Dover Plains, NY, died on Monday, December 30, 2019 at his home. Mr. Trombacco was a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service in Scarsdale, NY for 33 years retiring in 1992.
Born on July 16, 1933 in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Daniel Sullivan and Dorothy Griffin. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. On April 6, 1957 in Yonkers, NY, he married Linda Ackerman who survives at home.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ellen Adams of Dover Plains, NY; two sons, Stephen Trombacco and his wife, Diana, of Dover Plains, NY and Richard W. Trombacco and his wife, Rossanna, of Yorktown Heights, NY. He is also survived by a sister, Kathleen Mayer of Hopewell Junction and five grandchildren, Brian and Jason Adams, Isabella Trombacco, Stephen Harris and Jason Leak.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the funeral home.
