Obituary for Barbara Mae Jones
Barbara Mae Jones, 58, a lifelong resident of Millerton, NY, passed away on November 29, 2019 at her home in Millerton.
Born on April 17, 1961 in Sharon, CT, she was the daughter of the late James and Pearl (Conklin) Jones. Barbara was a graduate of Webutuck High School class of 1979. Barbara worked as a housekeeper at the Wassaic Developmental Center in Wassaic, NY.
Barbara valued friend and family she was the kind of person to lend a helping hand, always giving all she had to friends, family and others. Most of Barbara’s time was spent with her best friends Lisa Murnane and Steve Wilms. She loved shopping and riding around the countryside. Barbara loved animals, especially her cats Muffy and Tux.
Barbara is survived by six brothers, James, Fredrick, John, William and Daniel Jones and Allen Brown; four sisters, Theresa Lyke, Nancy Baker, Izettia Nichol and Tina Brown and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Alton and Elizabeth Hafford and three brothers, Stewart and Edward Jones and Richard Hafford.
