Obituary for Paul J. Higgins Jr.
Paul J. Higgins, Jr., 75, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, died on June 8, 2019 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mr. Higgins was a television repairman for Pawling Radio and TV in Pawling, NY and later a therapy aide at the Wassaic Developmental Center in Wassaic, NY.
Born on December 3, 1943 in Hunter, NY, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Nettie (Dunham) Higgins. On March 22, 1976 in Sharon, CT, he married Carol M. Turner who survives at home. Mr. Higgins was a certified pilot and enjoyed flying his rotorcraft and taking aerial photos. He was also an avid fisherman and loved animals both big and small.
In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Higgins is survived by a niece, Valerie McTavish of Greenville, NY. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Flossie Multer.
