Obituary for Vincent Sorrentino

Vincent  Sorrentino
Vincent Sorrentino, 72, a longtime area resident passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at his home. Mr. Sorrentino was a computer technician and later worked as a supervisor and member of the M.E.T. Team at The Home Depot in New Milford, CT.

Born on December 15, 1945 he was the son of the late Salvatore and Grace (Iacono) Sorrentino. Mr. Sorrentino proudly served in the US Navy during Vietnam. On August 16, 1969 in Yonkers, NY he married Catherine Morris who survives at home. Mr. Sorrentino was a longtime member of the NRA. He was a member and former usher of the Calvary Chapel of the Hudson Valley in Poughkeepsie, NY and a former member of the Fishkill Baptist Church.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Sorrentino is survived by three sons, Vincent Scott Sorrentino and his wife, Gam, of New Hampshire, Samuel A. Sorrentino and his wife, Jennifer, of Poughkeepsie, NY and Wade Sorrentino of Vermont and two daughters, Laurie Ann Sorrentino of Texas and Wendy Elizabeth Hairston of Virginia. He is also survived by a brother, Joseph Sorrentino of Yorktown Heights, NY; a sister, Nina Cardella of Staten Island, NY and eight grandchildren, Mason and Mia Hairston, Jacob, Charlotte, Bennett, Ruby, Anthony and Leonardo Sorrentino.

A graveside service and burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 101 Mill St, Putnam Valley, NY. A memorial service will follow at 12 p.m. at Calvary Chapel of the Hudson Valley, 36 Firemens Way, Poughkeepsie, NY.
