Betsy M.  Arvisais
Betsy M. Arvisais, 89, a longtime resident of Wingdale, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Wingate at Dutchess in Fishkill, NY. Mrs. Arvisais was a therapy aide for 22 years at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY.

Born on February 18, 1929 in Lawrence, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Vileta (Lucas) Russell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Arvisais was predeceased by her first husband Clinton Richards. On August 6, 1971, in Dover Plains, she married, Eugene Arvisais, Sr. who predeceased her in 2003.

Mrs. Arvisais is survived by two sons, Phillip Richards of Silver Creek, NY, and Rodney Richards and his wife, Nancy, of Dover Plains, NY and three daughters, Carol Watson of Staatsburg, NY, Gail Girton and her husband, James, of Dover Plains, NY and Betsy Richards of Wingdale, NY. She is also survived by a brother, Reed Russell of Clinton Corners, NY; four sisters, Leita Collette of Malone, NY; Hilda Budd of Ocala, Fl and Dianna Wyant of Dover Plains, NY; thirteen grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren; eight great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husbands, Mrs. Arvisais was predeceased by a son, Clinton Richards; a brother, Leo Russell and four sisters, Lietha Hardy, Glady Russell, Lillian Zellnock and Margaret Shereburne.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A private graveside service and burial will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at St. Charles Cemetery, in Dover Plains, NY.
