Condolence From: Maria Wood
Condolence: I was so saddened by the news of Deacon Jim’s passing. I enjoyed my years of cutting his hair along with his sweet wife Betty and daughter Patty. We had so many wonderful conversations. I just loved him. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family but I can’t help but smile and think of what he is experiencing now , , to see his faith in front of him and enjoying the presence of his savior. As I write this with streams of tears I am reminded of the chorus , “ set your eyes upon Jesus, look full on this glorious face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace.” I can only imagine the peace he has, and for his Lord to say well done my faithful servant. Myths Lord bring you all great comfort in knowing you will someday join him again. Love Maria Wood

Condolence: Deacon well prepared himself for rebirth and now goes to live in the eternal, spiritual world. We had the honor & privilege to attend Bible study with Deacon Jim & his Bride over the years. But the most touching "gift" he imparted to the recipients (pilgrims) of his ( "A Thought"... ) emails was his acceptance of his Cross, the sojourn that lead him into the sunset of his life on earth. Truly, A Soldier of Christ, he used his remaining time to impart to us the urgency to get right with God. It moved me- instead of thinking about all his immediate problems-he was still trying to convey & urge our participation in the paths to our Salvation by following the suggestions of Jesus Christ & with his short time allotted, giving his last breath, to save others. The emails were not warnings but kind of a "heads-up"- "wake-up" -"this-is no-joke". We are talking about the state of your immortal soul! Time is a-wasting. John 16: 12-13 "I have many more things to tell you, but they would be too much for you now." Being so close to God, Deacon Jim has found Truth. My Faith was strengthened by his Faith. Forever in debt to him. In Complete Gratitude for being allowed to get to know such a tower of a man. "Well done,my good & faithful servant" is the greeting he received upon arrival on the next step of the journey. With much love to Betty and her dear family. XXXOOO Anne & Pedro Martin

Condolence: Dear Lawlor Family. We are sorry for your loss. Mike and I want to send our deepest condolences. My husband and I know his nephew, John Lawlor, for many years. Mike, my husband, and John worked together at the Dutchess County Highway Dept. That is how I met John. He is a nice person and good friend. We are sure his Uncle would be proud of him. The Deacon is resting in the arms of God, surrounded by all the saints and arch angels. He is home. Our prayers and heartfelt thoughts are being sent your way during this difficult time. Peace be with all of you.
