Emma “Nina” L. Pacocha, 95, a resident of Sun City Center, FL formerly a longtime resident of Kent, CT died on October 9, 2015 at the Sun City Center Hospice House in Ruskin, FL. Nina was an alumni secretary at Kent School in Kent, CT.

Born on July 15, 1920 in Poughkeepsie, NY she was the daughter of the late James G. and Gretchen (Bates) Garrell. Nina was a graduate of Kent School in Kent, CT. On June 14, 1942 in Wassaic, NY she married Joseph G. Pacocha who predeceased her on October 5, 1989.

Nina was an alumni member of Kent School in Kent, CT. She was also a member and past vestryman of St. Andrew’s Church in Kent, CT. She taught Sunday school at St. Andrew’s Church for many years. Nina was a member and past matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Amenia, NY and was the past district deputy Grand Matron of the Columbia, Putnam and Dutchess District. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Avon Park, FL. Nina belonged to the Women’s Club at the Church of the Redeemer and the Sonshine Club in Ruskin, FL.

Nina is survived by her daughter, Jan Weis of Sun City Center, FL and a grandson, Jeffrey Weis of Pahrump, NV.
