Obituary for Nicholas B. "Nick" Frankie

Nicholas B. "Nick"  Frankie
Nicholas Blase Frankie, 73, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, died on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mr. Frankie worked in the Facilities and Emergency Central Management Department at IBM in Fishkill, NY for 28 years retiring in 1992. He also owned and operated Car Quest in Dover Plains, NY from 1997 to 2009.

Born on February 3, 1942 in New York City he was the son of the late Ivan “John” and Antoinette (Turcic) Frankie. On November 24, 1962 in Middletown, NY, he married Judith Ann Dino who survives at home. Mr. Frankie was a member of the Harlem Valley Golf Club in Wingdale, NY, the IBM Quarter Century Club, the Knights of Columbus Chapter 545 in Pawling, NY and the Poughkeepsie Elks Club. He was also a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains, NY.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Frankie is survived by two sons, James Edward Frankie and his wife, Tina, of Dover Plains, NY and Nicholas John Frankie of Painted Post, NY; two daughters, Deborah Ann Lasher and her husband, Paul, of Davenport, IA and Leigh Ann Castellano and her husband, Dean, of Moresville, NC. He is also survived by a brother, Frederick Frankie of Nags Head, NC, a sister, Helen Tenny of Horseheads, NY and thirteen grandchildren, Morgan, Anna, James and Joseph Lasher, Amanda, Christopher, Danielle, Marco and Michael Frankie and Gina, Alicia, Julia and Dean Castellano.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill Street, Dover Plains, NY. Burial will follow at South Dover Rural Cemetery in Wingdale, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Compassion, P.O. Box 665, Dover Plains, NY 12522.
