Edward Hansen, 78, a resident of Dover Plains, NY formerly of Beacon, NY died on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mr. Hansen was a member of the Local #137 in Briarcliff, NY and worked for Sentrel Construction in White Plains, NY.

Born on September 19, 1936 in Mt. Kisco, NY he was the son of the late Edward Marchgini and Signa Hansen. On July 5, 1986 in Beacon, NY he married Wilma Guerra who survives at home.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hansen is survived by a son, Edward J. Hansen of Hopewell Junction, NY; four daughters, Sharon Ann Hansen of Kingston, NY, Signa Linehan and her husband, Michael of Maine, Shannon Ruth Weller and her husband, Thomas of Marlboro, NY and Donna Hansen of Dalton, MA; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his longtime friends, Clarence, Kevin, Jennifer and Laura Lucas.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon James Lawlor officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at Smithfield Cemetery in Amenia, NY.
