Margaret R. Farinon, 95, a lifelong resident of Dover Plains, NY, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mrs. Farinon was an Occupational Therapy Assistant at the Wassaic Developmental Center in Wassaic, NY for 26 years retiring in 1976.

Born on December 15, 1919 in Mt. Vernon, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Rose (Gampino) Wool. On July 28, 1946 in Dover Plains, NY, she married Oreste Farinon who predeceased her on July 27, 2012.

Mrs. Farinon was a member of the Dover-Wingdale Senior Citizens, and was a former member of the Harlem Valley Golf Club in Wingdale, NY. She was also a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains, NY and belonged to their Alter Rosary Society.

Mrs. Farinon is survived by three nieces, Joann Farinon of Dover Plains, NY, Catherine Farinon-Smith of Hopewell Junction, NY and Mary Ann Benoit of Bakersfield, CA; two nephews, Anthony Wool of Sharon, CT and Carl Wool, III of Anniston, CT; two great-nephews, Jack Placidi and Jesse Smith and several other great-nephews and great-nieces. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Virginia Wool of Anniston, CT and Edith Wool of Dover Plains, NY.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Farinon was predeceased by two brothers, Dominic and Carl Wool.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill St. Dover Plains, NY.
