Obituary for Viola E. Hager

Viola E. Hager, 82, of Pawling, NY formerly of Davenport, NY and Wappingers Falls, NY died on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Putnam Hospital in Carmel, NY. Mrs. Hager was a secretary at Con Edison for nine years. Known as the Road Runner, she was active in the Salvation Army, Red Hats, United Methodist Church of Davenport and most recently became a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Pawling, NY.

Born on December 8, 1932 in Bronx, NY she was the daughter of the late Waldemar and Mildred (Ericsson) Tjader. Mrs. Hager is survived by sisters, Julia Holmberg and Nanny Snellman, many nieces, nephews and friends in the USA as well as family in Finland. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hager was predeceased by her husbands, Karl Karlsson and Emil Hager.
