Condolence: Mr. Travis made a lasting impression on me in School. A great instructor. He was easy going and witty, but professional; and gentle, but firm. Most of all he was steady and unchanging (even his suits were from the 50's). The 70's was a chaotic era to grow up in, at least for me. At that time, I needed these attributes in an older person. It is great to have known Mr. Ron Travis.

Condolence: I have knowen Ron since high school, then as my teacher, and after as a friend. He was my favorite teacher through my school years, shaping and molding young minds in a positive way, to prepare them for their futures. After a visit with him you were left with a smile. He will be missed .

My father, Bob Cummings, was a friend of Ron's while they were both teachers at Dover Plains. I remember going to the home of the Travis family, for cookouts etc. I always remembered him as a very nice man. My condolences to his entire family. I pray you all receive God's blessing of support and healing at this difficult time.

Condolence: Mr Travis is one of the people that made me think twice about things. He taught me many lessons about shop and many lessons about life. I will remember this man for many more years to come. I have been blessed with the people around me growing up and Ron was one of them.
