Weldon "Bill"  Dye
Weldon “Bill” Dye, 80, of The Villages, Florida formerly of Wingdale, NY and Westerly, RI died on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, FL with his family by his side. Mr. Dye retired from Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville, NY and owned and operated Dye Auto in Wingdale, NY.

Born on October 15, 1933 in Bronx, NY he was the son of the late Weldon A. and Edna (Seibert) Dye. Mr. Dye proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was also a life member of Chestnut Ridge Rod & Gun Club.

Mr. Dye is survived by his wife and soul-mate Reatha (Jean) Dye of The Villages, FL; two sons, William Dye of The Villages, FL and Robert Dye and his wife, Penny of Dover Plains, NY and a sister, Florence Paolilli of Lagrangeville, NY. His loving grandchildren are Karinne Dye, Amy Acken, Jeffrey Dye, Stefanie Barto, Jonathan Dye, Courtney Dye and Thomas Dye and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four step-daughters, Kim Baker, Cynthia Dillworth, Shelly Jenkins and Tami Kerr; fifteen step-grand/great-grandchildren and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Besides his parents, Mr. Dye was predeceased by the mother of his children, Lois Ann Dye, wife of over 50 years.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Dover Rural Cemetery in Wingdale, NY.
