Robert A.B.  Howe
Robert A.B. Howe, 69, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at his home in Dover Plains, NY. Mr. Howe was a civil engineer at Bibbo Associates in Somers, NY for 35 years retiring in 2014.

Born on February 13, 1945 in London, England he is the son of Pauline P. (Wilson) Howe of Knoxville, TN and the late John S. Howe. Mr. Howe received his Bachelors of Science degree from Union College in Schenectady, NY class of 1967. On August 20, 2005 at St. James Episcopal Church in Dover Plains, NY he married Lucy Hurlburt who survives at home. Mr. Howe was a member of the South Amenia Presbyterian Church in Wassaic, NY.

In addition to his mother and wife, Mr. Howe is survived by his five children, Donna Tompkins and her husband, Bert of Wingdale, NY, Joann Brusie of Dover Plains, NY, Lisa Harrington and her husband, Mike of Cornwall, CT, Beth Falcon of Dover Plains, NY and Robert Falcon and his wife, Paige of Dover Plains, NY; two brothers, Larry Howe of Avon, CT, David Howe of Knoxville, TN and a sister, Linda Allen of Springfield, VA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, three nieces Lisa, Lauren and Reilly Howe, as well an aunt Barbara Canning of Knoxville, TN, and an uncle Stan Wilson of London, England.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the South Amenia Presbyterian Church, 229 South Amenia Rd, Wassaic, NY with Rev. Zora Ficarra-Cheatham officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the South Amenia Presbyterian Church, 229 S. Amenia Rd., Wassaic, NY 12592 or the Dutchess SPCA, 636 Violet Ave., Hyde Park, NY 12538.
