Condolence From: Richard Stevens
Condolence: I met Charlie almost 9 years ago being a new Postmaster to Wingdale. From day one he became a good friend, mentor, big brother and often a father figure to me. We shared daily talks about his life, health and family situations as well as mine. We shared trips to the casino in Monticello as well as who covered the spread on Sunday football.
I called him "Chuck Roast", Chuckie, and Chuck, never Charlie.
I miss you my friend. I saw the best and worst of your health as you tracked into the post office with Tony Baldino not far behind to get your mail and dental packages for your daily workload.
You will always be in my mind and heart as you always left my office saying " you be good buddy".Thank you "Roast"for being a big part of my life, and a friend, "be good buddy"
we will toast again.

Condolence: I met Charlie soon after opening my practice in Pawling way back in 1989 and he was my lab tech of choice ever since. Over the years, we became friends and most recently, when I suffered a life-changing illness, Charlie was right there with me regularly, visiting me in the hospital and in the nursing home while I recovered (and sneaking me in bags of Slim Jims when the nurses weren't looking, God bless him). His passing still seems surreal...I simply can't wrap my brain around him not being with us. My medical issues preclude my coming to his wake which breaks my heart. Rest easy my dear friend...until we meet again. Love you.
