Howard Reisig, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Bedford Hills, NY, died on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT.

Born on October 7, 1921 in Center Moriches, NY, he was one of 13 children of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Bishop) Reisig. On April 21, 1946, he married Julia Lattanzio who survives at home.

Howard was a member of the Amenia Senior Citizens and the Tally Ho Association. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Howard was a World War II Army Veteran having served in Normandy and the Ardennes.

In addition to his loving wife, Howard is survived by his son, Raymond Reisig, and his wife, Debbie, of Yorktown Heights, NY. His other son, Robert, predeceased him. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kristin Reisig, Kathryn Turenchalk and James Reisig and a great grandchild, Jack Turenchalk

Calling hours will be held on from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill Street, Dover Plains, NY.
