Carolyn L. Pollack, 70, a 16-year Florida resident, formerly of Dover Plains, NY, died on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Fort Myers, FL. Mrs. Pollack worked as a therapy aide at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale for 32 years retiring in 1999.
Born on July 19, 1947 in Malone, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clevland and Arline Spencer. On July 13, 1978 in Dover Plains, NY, she married Andrew Pollack who survives at home.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pollack is survived by two daughters, Shelly Hancock of Fort Myers, FL and Pam Pollack of Wingdale, NY; a stepson, Jay Pollack of Turner Falls, MA and stepdaughter, Tia Pollack of Poughkeepsie, NY; two brothers, Paul Spencer of Poland, NY and Wally Spencer of Wassaic, NY and two sisters, Marjorie Simpson and Joyce Preyer of Saranac Lake, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Benjamin Cooper, Jacob Mejorado, Leigh Hancock, Christopher Durso, Brian Martin and Zachery Cooper; four step grandchildren, Ashley Lamanna, Joshua Lamanna, Noell Pollack and Adam Pollack and five great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Loren and Lester Spencer.
Calling hours will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cooks Corners, NY.
