Charlene M. Vogt, 65, a resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY, died on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Ms. Vogt was a therapy aide and a CNA at Taconic DDSO for 30 years retiring in 2005.

Born on July 23, 1951 in Nicholville, NY she was the daughter of the late Roy and Verna (Griffin) Lamay. She is survived by her three sons, Kenneth Howard Swart, Jr. of Little Falls, NY, Daniel Roy Swart and his wife, Katie, of Litchfield, CT and Christopher Robert Vogt of Herkimer, NY. She is also survived by four brothers, Donald Lamay of Waterport, NY, Stanley Lamay of Massena, NY, Richard Lamay of Wassaic, NY, and Merrill Lamay of New Columbia, PA; five sisters, Phyllis Grant of Fort Covington, NY, Linda Webster of Bennington, VT, Darlene Sullivan of Albion, NY and Cheryl Lamay of Brockport, WV. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Rebecca and Jacob Swart and Dakota, Stephen, Shawn, Brianna, Nicholas and Joshua Vogt and two great-grandsons, Zachary Brishane, Jr and Kenneth Howard Swart III.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Vogt was predeceased by a son, Albert James Vogt, Jr; two brothers, Lawrence and Darrell Lamay and two grandchildren, Zachary Brishane and Kaitlyn Swart.

Graveside services and burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Valley View Cemetery, S. Nellie Hill Road, Dover Plains, NY with Rev. Zora Fircarra-Cheatham officiating.
