Marie Treat, 90, a longtime area resident, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Treat was a housekeeper at the Wassaic Developmental Center in Wassaic, NY. Born on August 16, 1926 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Liberto) Battaglia. On May 21, 1950 in Maryland, she married William F. H. Treat who died on June 16, 2000.

Mrs. Treat is survived by two sons, Bruce Treat and his fiancée, Barbara Forrest, of Dover Plains, NY and Kelly Treat and his wife, Jeanette, of Wingdale, NY; two daughters, Cheryl Voss and her companion, Dakotah Perrigo, of Transfer, PA and Katrina Stossel and her husband, Gary, of Amenia, NY. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
