Obituary for Salvatore Losicco Sr.

Salvatore Losicco, Sr., 93, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Mahopac, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2017 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon , CT. Mr. Losicco was an assembly maintenance worker for General Motors in Tarrytown, NY, for 30 years retiring in 1985.

Born on November 19, 1923 in New York City he was the son of the late Antonio and Victoria (Marino) Losicco. Mr. Losicco proudly served in the US Army during World War II. On April 12, 1947 in New York City he married Mary D’Erasmo who predeceased him on April 28, 2010.

Mr. Losicco was a member of the Tally Ho Assosiction. He was also a member of the Amenia Senior Citizens. Mr. Losicco was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains, NY.

He is survived by his sons, Salvatore Losicco, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC and Robert Losicco of Highland, NY. He is also survived by three granddaughters, one grandson, six great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Losicco was predeceased by four brothers and six sisters.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill Street, Dover Plains.
