Bruce A. McCracken, 71, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, died on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mr. McCracken was a therapy aide at Taconic DDSO in Wassaic, NY for 22 years.

Born on January 18, 1946 in Taunton, MA he was the son of the late George A. and Ruth (Wilcox) McCracken. On December 28, 1985 in Amenia, NY he married Rosemarie Drenga who survives at home. In addition to his wife, Mr. McCracken is survived by a brother, Robert McCracken of North Carolina and three sisters, Shirley Olivera and Ruth Patterson both of Taunton, MA and Noreen Stewart of North Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. McCracken was predeceased by three brothers, George A. McCracken, Jr. and Harold and William McCracken and a sister, Patricia Ostrander.

Calling hours will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
