Obituary for Sandra S. Magley Pereyra
Sandra S. Magley Pereyra, 71, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, died on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT. Mrs. Pereyra was a school bus driver with First Student Transportation in Millbrook and Poughkeepsie, NY.
Born on April 7, 1945 in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Bowman and Veneda Robertson Rose. On March 8, 1997 in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, she married Carlos W. Pereyra who died on January 4, 2015.
Mrs. Pereyra is survived by her son, Timothy E. Magley, Sr. and his fiancée, Maureen Mulcahy, of Dover Plains, NY and two sisters, Sheila K. Navarro of Brookeville, MD and Sharon Veneda Hopkins of Twelve Mile, IN and four grandchildren, Timothy E. Magley, Jr., April Marie Magley, Michael Groth and Brittany Harrington. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Marie Magley; two
brothers, Carl A. Rose and Robert Lynn Rose and two sisters, Martha J. McDonald and Beverly Ann Maggart.
Calling hours will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kathleen Meyerson officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY.
