Fernand Jaouen, 89, a resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Dover Plains, NY. Mr. Jaouen was a restauranteur who owned and operated La Cote D’Argent Restaurant in Larchmont, NY and Beausejour in Brewster, NY.

Born on April 10, 1927 in Guiscriff, France, he was the son of the late Christophe and Marie (Le Talbodec) Jaouen. On June 24, 1974 in Brewster, NY, he married Susan Peake who predeceased him on February 5, 2012. Mr. Jaouen was a member of the Tally-Ho Association in Dover Plains, NY. He was also a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains.

Mr. Jaouen is survived by his two sons, Michael Jaouen and his wife, Karen, of Dover Plains, NY and Christophe Jaouen and his wife, Kaitlin, of Bethel, CT and a daughter, Brigitte Spinda and her husband, David, of Dover Plains, NY. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Andrew, Nicolas, Kayla, Chadwick and Ainsley Jaouen and Lily Spinda.

Graveside services and burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at St. Charles Cemetery, S. Nellie Hill Road, Dover Plains, NY.
