Obituary for Ann Frances Mostachetti

Ann Frances  Mostachetti
Ann Frances Mostachetti, 87, a longtime area resident, died on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her home in Dover Plains, NY. Mrs. Mostachetti worked at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center for 10 years and also at the Mostachetti Brothers Liquor Store in Wingdale, NY. Mrs. Mostachetti later worked as a bus driver for First Student for 20 years.

Born on November 5, 1928 in Fairfield, VT she was the daughter of the late Edward William and Eva (Messier) Jordan. On September 18, 1948 she married Armando Mostachetti who predeceased her on March 15, 2009. Mrs. Mostachetti enjoyed golfing and was a longtime member of the Harlem Valley Golf Club in Wingdale, NY where she was the Women’s Club Champion several times. She was also an accomplished and avid bowler. She was a life member of the American Legion Post #1949 Auxilary and the VFW Post #5444 Auxilary. Mrs. Mostachetti was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains, NY.

Mrs. Mostachetti is survived by her four daughters, Joanne M. Graham and her husband, David, of Dover Plains, NY, Betty Mostachetti and her companion Tom Giuseffi of Amenia, NY, Gail Olson and her husband, Mark, of Newtown, CT and Teresa Mostachetti of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by two sisters, Teresa Zuzak of Rockledge, FL and Judy Creller of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, Lindsey Leonard, Mark Graham and Michael, Mackenizie and Cian Callahan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Mostachetti was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor Larrow, Arlene Martell and a brother, Andrew Jordan.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill St., Dover Plains, NY with Msgr. Edward Barry officiating. Burial will follow at South Dover Rural Cemetery in Wingdale, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #1949 Auxilary P.O.
