John Kevin Ogana, 30, a longtime area resident died on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in Kent, CT. Born on November 15, 1985 in Nairobi, Kenya he was the son of Sam and Grace Ogana of Dover Plains NY.

John was a brother to Jim Ogana and Kenneth Ogana of New York,Lydia Ogana of Alberta Canada. Nephew to Zachary Njoga "Ramuya" Henry Njoga "Mc Ole wez,” George Rota and Linet Orocha. He was a cousin to Steve Rota, Veronica Rota, Dorothy Rota, Diana Rota, Beverley Rota, Kenneth Alusa, Shirlene Alusa, Michelle Njoga and John Njoga among others

Visitation will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at New Life Seventh-day Adventist Church, 70 S. Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church.
