Condolences

Condolence From: George R. O'Connell
Condolence: Roy and I had a passing friendship when I attended DPHS 1954-55, he was one of those people that one tends to not forget.
I had talked with him on a couple of occasions after HS, most recently - about 4 years ago - and am glad I had the opportunity to reconnect.
Roy was 'one of the good ones'.

RIP Hummy
Your friend
George

Condolence: I have wonderful memories of Hummy since I was a very young man. He was always good to all of the younger guys in the neighborhood, and treated us like younger brothers. He was always willing and ready to mentor us whether it be electrical, motorcycles, or in numerous other areas. As a young guy barely in high school I rode the trails of Nellie Hill and Lime Kiln with him many times on our dirt bikes, and we had many great discussions when we would take a break. For those who knew him well, Hummy was also a well read, well travelled worldly philosopher who just happened to reside at times in the town of Dover. He had many great stories, and we never ever got the feeling that he was spinning any tall tales. I will miss Hummy, but to those of us that his life made an impact on, he will always be with us when ever we reflect on the ideals and opinions he put forth, as well as his humor.
