Obituary for Carol Lynn Chamberlain

Carol Lynn  Chamberlain
Carol Lynn Chamberlain, 51, a 23-year resident of Wingdale, formerly of Lake Carmel, NY died on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mrs. Chamberlain was a special education teacher at Westchester ARC and later worked at Green Chimneys School in Brewster, NY.
Born on June 24, 1964 in Mount Kisco, NY, she is the daughter of Eleanor Mueller Muir of Patterson, NY and the late Thomas W. Muir, Jr. She attended Yorktown High School in Yorktown Heights, NY and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree at SUNY Cortland in Cortland, NY. On November 7, 1987 in Carmel, NY, she married E. Craig “Chip” Chamberlain, Sr. who survives at home.
Mrs. Chamberlain was a former member of the International Pony Club, the Pawling Women’s Softball League and a member of the SUNY Cortland Alumni Association. She was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, E. Craig Chamberlain, Jr. of Wingdale, NY; a daughter, Kelly Chamberlain of Wingdale, NY and a sister, Kathleen Barry of Patterson, NY. Besides her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Thomas W. Muir, III.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at St. James the Apostle Church, 14 Gleneida Ave., Carmel, NY.
