Obituary for Patrick Patnode

Patrick Patnode
Patrick Patnode, 46, a longtime resident of Wassaic, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by family. He fought as hard as he could to win his battle against cancer and in the end is admired for his strength throughout the battle. Patrick worked as a head shipper at Kimberly-Clark in New Milford, CT for 27 years.

Born on February 28, 1969 in Plattsburgh, NY he is the son of Bernice (King) Patnode of Ellenburg Center, NY and the late Walter Patnode, Jr. On December 23, 1990 in Dover Plains, NY he married Maureen Morgan who survives at home.

Patrick was an avid fisherman and a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. He loved his grandchildren to the moon and back and cherished the time spent with them. He had many wonderful friends who were there for him whenever he needed and was grateful for each and every one of them. He has one final wish for all of his family and friends that smoke, “please quit so you do not have to suffer the way I did.”

In addition to his mother and wife, Patrick is survived by a daughter, Jasmine Kain and her husband, Curtis of Amenia, NY; two sons, Joshua Patnode of Wassaic, NY and Zachary Patnode and his wife, Amanda Finley of Dover Plains, NY and two brothers, William Patnode and his wife, Sallie of Ellenburg Center, NY and Walter Patnode, III and his wife, Sue of Wassaic, NY.
