Della B. Standback, 99, a longtime resident of the area, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT. Mrs. Standback was a health care aide at Pascack Nursing Home in Pascack Valley, NJ. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Hackensack, NJ.

Mrs. Standback was born on September 15, 1915 in Carthage, NC. She is survived by her niece, Kathleen Gooch of Dover Plains, NY; a great-niece, Joslyn Savarese and her husband Nicholas; a great-great niece, Hailey Savarese and two great-great nephews, Brock and Cameron Saverese. She is also survived by her dear friends, Cheryl Wilcox, Rachel Wheeler and JoAnn Parker. She was predeceased by her nephew, William Gooch.

A graveside service and burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Valley View Cemetery, South Nellie Hill Road, Dover Plains, NY with the Rev. Jon Carter officiating.
