Obituary for Thomas Hugo Rosenkranz
Thomas Hugo Rosenkranz, 52, a long-time resident of Dover Plains NY, died tragically on Wednesday May 14, 2014. Mr. Rosenkranz worked as a project manager at TRMI.
Born on October 11, 1961 in Elizabeth, NJ he was the son of Hugo Rosenkranz and his partner, Hermina Rider and Erna Heinbling who reside in Fairfax, CA and Lake Luzerene, NY. On September 10, 1988 in Valhalla, NY he married Helene Johnson who resides in Dover Plains. Thomas earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Fairfield University in December 1990.
Tom was an a loving father and active volunteer in many community activities including Dover United Youth Soccer, Dover Little League, a USA certified swim official and an active parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains. There he served as a member of the parish council, the Knights of Columbus, and a former board member for the Center of Compassion in Dover Plains. He will be greatly missed by all in the community and surrounding organizations.
In addition to his wife and parents, Thomas leaves behind a daughter, Renee and three sons, Russell, Erik and Kreg all of Dover Plains; his brother, Ralph and wife Jeanette and two sisters, Delpha and husband Richard Snow and Silvia and husband Ahyman Houla. He is also survived by five brothers-in-law, John Johnson and wife Helia, Robert Johnson, David Johnson and wife Brandy, Jerry Johnson and partner Matthew Van Houton and Karl Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22 in Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill St., Dover Plains, NY. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mrs. Helene Rosenkranz, P.O. Box 740, Dover Plains NY 12522. These funds will be used to sponsor children to attend sports camps throughout our community. Our family thanks you all for your love and support.
