Obituary for Ronald John Gazzoli

Ronald John  Gazzoli
Ronald John Gazzoli, 76, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. Mr. Gazzoli was an insurance agent with Prudential Insurance in Poughkeepsie, NY for 30 years. He also worked as the Town of Amenia Assessor for 23 years.

Born on October 6, 1937 in Bronx, NY he was the son of the late John and Linda (Bassi) Gazzoli. On June 9, 1962 in Dover Plains, NY he married Josephine Vinchiarello who survives at home.

Mr. Gazzoli was a life member of the Poughkeepsie Elks Club. He was a former member of the Chestnut Ridge Rod and Gun Club, Dover Lions, Knights of Columbus and the J.H. Ketcham Hose Company and Rescue Squad. He was also a former member of the Harlem Valley Golf Club. Mr. Gazzoli was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Ronald J. Gazzoli, Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Dover Plains, NY, Todd Gazzoli and his wife, Jean, of Dover Plains, NY and Tina Koberger and her husband, Edmund, of Valatie, NY and a sister, Geraldine Clinchy of Coopersburg, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kevin, Kyla and Karissa Koberger, Stanley and Angel Auclaire and Annika Gazzoli; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Jaden, and Brylie and a nephew, Richard Clinchy.

Calling hours will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 63 Mill St. Dover Plains, NY. Burial will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY.
